Too bad Arnie can never be president unless they change the law to allow foreign-born citizens to run.
It made sense in the 19th century, but not when America is the most powerful country in the world.
I think if someone has lived the majority of their life in the USA and has spent a minimum number of say, 25 years, as a US citizen, then that should be more than sufficient to ensure their total loyalty.
Let’s not forget that at inauguration they have to swear on the Bible that they will upload the principles and laws of the country.
“ARNOLD Schwarzenegger would love to run for US president – if he could.
California’s actor-turned-governor was born in Austria and the US Constitution prevents foreign-born citizens from holding the nation’s top job.
Late night TV host Jay Leno asked Schwarzenegger on The Tonight Show today if he would make a White House run if the law was changed.
Schwarzenegger replied, “Without any doubt.”
But that’s not likely in the foreseeable future. Any amendment to the Constitution must be approved by two-thirds majorities in the House of Representatives and Senate, and then be ratified by three-fourths of state legislatures.
Schwarzenegger spokesman Aaron McLear says the governor doesn’t think that will happen.”
‘Schwarzenegger for president? He would if he could’
Take that economic girly men!
“CALIFORNIA State Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has tried to encourage lawmakers to pass a tough budget by sending them a sculpture of bull’s testicles.
The US state is facing a $US24.3 billion ($30 billion) shortfall this year.
Senate President Darrell Steinberg wasn’t amused, sending Schwarzenegger a note in return lecturing him on not taking proceedings seriously.
The steel, football-sized testicles came back, too.”
