Trenberth Is True To Form

Kevin E. Trenberth

“Given that global warming is “unequivocal”, to quote the 2007 IPCC report, the null hypothesis should now be reversed, thereby placing the burden of proof on showing that there is no human influence [on the climate].” ~ Dr. Kevin Trenberth

This is a false and contradictory statement, and should be exposed as unscientific.

If you form a hypothesis, and people cannot disprove it, it does not make it right by default. That is an unethical approach; it does not follow the methodology, honesty and ethics of science.

To advance the hypothesis to the level of theory, repeatable proof of the proposed result is always required. The burden of proof is ALWAYS with the one who proposed it.

This is an absolute scientific principle – and it cannot be compromised. A hypothesis will remain a hypothesis until it can be progressed to the level of theory. This only happens through repeated experimentation and confirming observations. It must then be subjected to the scientific community for scrutiny and verification.

These guys are now getting so desperate they are trying every damn thing they can. It is their livelihoods (read – $$$), and they are obviously scared shitless; they do not want the gravy train to end.

The fact is that if you do not have the evidence to support the progression of your hypothesis, it simply does not carry. It has not become theory, and obviously will not become law. This is the scientific method.
